CHILDREN’S AND YOUTH FUN RUNS (5-15 YEARS)
- Fun runs will start at 10:00.
- Each fun run is limited to 10 competitors. Entries are made online (Entry Form). You will not be able to enter on the day.
- All competitors must confirm their attendance on the day at Gawthorpe Derby and Joan Welfare Hall, 23A High Street, Gawthorpe, WF5 9QS between 08:15 and 09:30. Here you will receive your goody bag and t-shirt.
- Fun run categories, entry fees and prizes as follows:
Children’s Fun Run Entry Fee £7.00
Race categories Boys:
Boys 5-6 / Boys 7-8 / Boys 9-10 / Boys 11-12 / Boys 13-15
Race categories Girls:
Girls 5-6 / Girls 7-8 / Girls 9-10 / Girls 11-12 / Girls 13-15
Prize: The three fastest competitors in each fun run will receive a certificate and all competitors will receive a medal
ADULT RACES (18+)
- All races start at The Royal Oak, 114 Owl Lane, Ossett, WF5 9AU.
- Each race is limited to 30 competitors. Entries are made online (Entry Form). You will not be able to enter on the day.
- All competitors must confirm their attendance on the day at The Boot and Shoe, 27 High Street, Gawthorpe, WF5 9QS. Details of your race & number will be provided by email prior to 6th April 2026.
- Race categories, start times, entry fees and prizes as follows:
Men’s Veterans* (40+ years and 50kg coal sack) – £30.00 Entry Fee per person
Prizes – 1st Trophy and £150, 2nd £100, 3rd £75
Men’s Veterans 1st Race starts 11.15am
Men’s Veterans 2nd Race starts 11:45am
Women’s Veterans (40+ years and 20kg coal sack) – £30.00 Entry per person
Prizes – 1st Trophy and £150, 2nd £100, 3rd £75
Women’s Veterans Race starts 12.15pm
Women’s Open* (20kg coal sack) Entry Fee £35.00 per Person
Prizes – 1st Trophy and £750 (£1,000 if World Record Beaten – 4min 25sec)
2nd Trophy and £500 3rd Trophy and £250, 4th Trophy and £125
Women’s Open 1st Race starts 12:45pm
Women’s Open 2nd Race starts 1:15pm (New for 2026)
Men’s Open* (50kg coal sack) Entry fee £35.00 per person
Prizes – 1st Trophy and £750 (£1,000 if World Record Beaten – 4min 6sec)
2nd Trophy and £500, 3rd Trophy and £250, 4th Trophy and £125
